I’m sure that a legitimate argument could be made for ‘The Invincible Dragon’ being the celluloid version of LSD. And of course, so does Max Zhang. I would welcome a rematch with Zhang and Silva if it was under another director and they didn’t talk. The story picks up several years later, when after a long silence it appears the serial killer may have become active again after a female cop is murdered in Macau. Other hand leading action star Jin Zhang does not impress us as his previous movies like 'Kill Zone', ' Grandmaster' etc. Chan into certain sequences. But then, the real story of what the director is bringing to the fans is totally out of the line. Invincible Dragon movie reviews and ratings - Tribute.ca rating of 1.00 out of 5 Stars.
Annie Liu is from Taiwan and Jin Zhang is from China.
Zhang and Silva yell insults at each other throughout the fight, and they both take turns at yelling “That’s my line!” back at each other to certain put-downs. The film has an unnecessary narrator that drones on, and there’s far too much misplaced humor. One of those three stars is for the budget which partially seems to have been there, one is for costume/backdrop and stagework, i would detract 1 for both martial arts choreography (overly complicated spinkicks and pushkicks that would never work or be used) put on that horrible effects and u got a really bad movie. The editing carries all this to extremes: Some scenes are strung together so randomly that it takes you some time to find your bearings, and as soon as you think you know what you are dealing with, you get another scene which evidently has nothing to do with the previous one.
Invincible Dragon - Review: 'Invincible Dragon' is one of those movies where you have to ask yourself what exactly just happened.
AKA: Dragon Tattoo Director: Fruit Chan Cast: Max Zhang Jin, Annie Liu Xin-You, Anderson Silva, Stephy Tang Lai-Yan, Kevin Cheng …
asset, but it also has a plot as focused on a mystery as it is kicking ass. If only the screenplay and direction by Fruit Chan (Dumplings) was as consistent as the action choreography, this Chinese martial arts-mystery would have been highly watchable. Although dragon-tattooed cop Kowloon (Max Zhang) manages Invincible Dragon feels like it’s trying to be badass at every turn, but just not hitting the mark. He owns the studio and had a boxing match against Kowloon one year ago which he lost and now he wants a rematch. action directors, as well as a primary director of the entire production, and Her fight with Jin in train is main interesting part in the movie as me. Not recommended, not a good production overall.
), it gives the rest of the movie an unintentionally funny touch. Over all movie is once time watchable not with expectation of perfect action movie. As punishment for the failed operation Kowloon is discharged. This movie was a massive swing and a miss. Marketed as an action/crime thriller, the filmmakers seemed to have something up their sleeves. Plot Summary | Add Synopsis The charismatic Zhang plays the male lead, an impulsive individual with a body of intricately-drawn dragon tattoos. Jiu Long Bu Bai aka The Invincible Dragon is a Hong Kong film. cityonfire.com is a non-profit website for the private use and entertainment and/or parody purposes. The fight even has the audacity to lift wholesale the drawing pins to the face scene from The Night Comes for Us, but luckily they’re just getting started. With movie theaters offering a variety of premium formats, audiences often now have choices beyond what film to watch. But this has to wait until Kowloon manages to convict Lady. 25 years ago in June the HMS Invincible was at sea in support of British forces in the Falklands. Kevin Cheng, playing another cop, then replies with a similar deadpan expression, “Yes, we do.” The script is literally full of baffling exchanges such as the above. I thought “correct circumstances” was a euphemism for alcohol.
As for the WTF, I’m not going to ruin it, you’ll have to see it for yourself. The real issue though is Silva, as it becomes apparent that nobody knew how to apply his skillset to a screen fighting aesthetic.
