We only stayed four nights, but other than little bit of road noise, it seems like a quiet well-maintained park. Turn left again onto Edelweiss which will take you to Hwy 75 in Helen. The tenting sites are located beside a nice stream in an open field area (close to the swimming pool).There were not too many people around during our stay which was nice. This makes my top of the list to avoid at all cost. We had another spot reserved for our friends who were delayed a day and they held the spot and only charged them for the night they stayed. Camping is allowed in the primitive camping area near the summit (aka "staging area") and is free. My family of five stayed here over Thanksgiving in our class A. Anywho, definitely check out this BEAUTIFUL hike! There are privies here though water is often scarce here so bring all you think you will need. Other more purist climbers utilize cams that are springloaded and can be placed into the cracks of the rock face and will brace ones fall if placed correctly.

I didn't like this place, I paid for 3 nights only stay for 2, from the beginning was a very unpleasant experience, lady driving the golf cart keep tell me not to get out my truck at the check in location but there is not signs referring so only to stop at the stop sign, I was located at one site really close to the main road with not shade plus the sites had a unpleasant smells from the sewage, 30 amps breaker was keeping tripping, maintenance was call and they spray some lime power around sewage but didn't work at all, I will only recommend this place if there is nothing also available, consider unicoi state park instead!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
