The hiking trails are not well marked, however. The trail explores Tallulah Gorge’s north and south rims, visits the enormous Hurricane Falls waterfall, and catches dizzying views from ten scenic overlooks that peer deep into the gorge’s waterfall-filled depths. View of L’Eau d’Or (pronounced Ladore) Falls, top of Tempesta Falls, and Hawthorne Cascade and Pool. Great for small kids and elderly. At about the half way point you reach a suspension bridge that crosses the Tallulah River and then the trail continues in the opposite direction. There are two short, easy hiking-only trails attached to it (Torrora Trails) that you can also take to make an outing there more worthwhile. There are some off paths around the lake and are perfect for a deviation. Good, and mostly easy, paved trail for biking (and hiking) - it’s just too short. Nice easy flat walk. There is a $5 per car entry fee into the park and they prefer the use of cash. Plenty of parking and not crowed for a Saturday. Nice, clean and easy path for beginners. Just wish there was bathrooms there and it would be perfect. This is a great, paved, level walking/bicycling trail, on the old railroad bed, along the Tallulah river. What a day! Easy.

The views along the trail are amazing. Tallulah Gorge State Park encompasses all of the gorge below Tallulah Falls Dam and has a number of hiking trails that provide access into the gorge. Plenty of places to rest and great views of the river. Great for those who need a smooth path due to ambulatory challenges. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash. Flat, paved, nice and shady. Great place for a picnic lunch!
