More about the trail than the summit vistas but you’ll find several civil war canyons. Nice hike, first part steeper hike, after Kennesaw Mountain an easy walk through nice forest areas. 280' Up You'll gain about 800 feet in the first mile.

Visitors center to the parking lot is only 7/8 the way to the summit. It is a sub-peak of Kennesaw Mountain, the site of the Battle of Kennesaw Mountain in the 1864 Atlanta Campaign of the American Civil War.
