In response to the Novel Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) the U.S. Congress passed the CARES Act, which was signed into law on Friday, March 27, 2020. The Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief Fund (ESSER) is a federally funded emergency relief program that offers urgently needed assistance to the majority of America’s nonprofit private schools.
